5 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULDN'T BUY |Xbox One S|

IT FEELS LIKE Microsoft has actually lost the plot with the Xbox One. The firm has been rehashing its gaming output in an attempt to make Windows 10 and Xbox a merged platform for a year now, but last week's E3 conference upped the game to reveal not one, but two new Xbox One consoles.
Project Scorpio will be released at the end of 2017, and basically replaces the old Xbox One with something more resembling a high-end PC. We'll see native 4K games and probably VR support. It's arguably doubtful that the standard Xbox One will be able to struggle on after the platform is forked so hugely.
But what of the Xbox One S? It's one of the most pointless pieces of gaming hardware ever revealed. And here's why:
1. It will be obsolete in a year's time

It's a stop gap at best. It's nowhere near as powerful as Scorpio will be, and as such is just a slightly revamped version of a console that's three years old, and by the launch of Scorpio will be four years old, and consigned to the attic.

2. '40 per cent slimmer' - really?

The whole '40 per cent slimmer' advertising is rather called into dispute by this photograph, apparently shot at E3 (image courtesy of The Verge), showing that the Xbox One S really might not be much reduced in size compared with its predecessor.
