Nintendo Switch : Should You Buy One?

Nintendo has fully revealed its new Nintendo Switch console together with specs, launch games, accessories, price and more.
With a £280 price, 3 March release date and Zelda at launch, this is a seriously appealing gaming machine already. It looks like Sony and Microsoft may have some serious competition on their hands.
While the Nintendo Switch isn't built to be as powerful as the Sony's PS4 Slim or Microsoft's Xbox One S, it offers the unique hybrid function to make it super appealing. That and some seriously sought-after games that have been announced. So here are some top 5 reasons why you should buy a Switch. Thanks to Mirror.uk for some good informations.

1. Nintendo Switch is portable

Thanks to the hybrid nature of the Switch it can be played at home on the big screen TV and then, seamlessly, be used as a tablet but still with full controls.
This means that console-quality gaming can be enjoyed when out and about, but also that the home TV can be shared without the person playing a game having to stop completely.
The handheld console will keep going for up to six hours on a charge, but this will vary, depending on the game being played. It can be charged via USB-C while playing.

2. The Nintendo Switch controllers are made for mobility

It's all well and good creating a tablet powerful enough to play console-quality games on, but without the right control system it won't work.
Knowing this, Nintendo has come up with the slide-on, slide-off "Joy-Con" controllers, which can attach to the tablet for comfortable full controller gaming. This allows for easy tablet control, complete with analogue sticks and shoulder buttons.
These then detach and connect to a larger body, the main Joy-Con, for a more standard controller shape when at home.
The Joy-Con controllers can be detached from the tablet and held in each hand for gaming with the portable screen. These wireless controls work at a distance so the tablet can be stood up using its built-in kick-stand while gamers sit back comfortably. They're also motion-sensitive for Wii U-style gaming fun.

3. Play the Nintendo Switch with friends anywhere

Taking a gaming tablet out to meet friends might be a little unsociable, if you don't bring a spare controller. That's why the Switch features a split controller which can be held side-on by two people for multiplayer gaming.
The great thing about this is nothing extra needs to be carried so the gamer is always ready to share the experience when out and about.
Nintendo has also made sure the Switch is local network friendly. That means multiple Switch tablets can be connected for local multiplayer gaming. Four-way FIFA from two tablets? Yup, Switch can do that.

4. Pricing is affordable

For a complete console that also comes with a mobile tablet and controllers, the Nintendo Switch is really well priced.
That £280 price tag should offer a solid alternative to the Sony PlayStation PS4 Slim and Microsoft Xbox One S prices.
5. Cartridge gaming is back!

Nintendo has opted to place the games on physical cartridges, like in the good old days. This is a great idea for those wishing to share games.
The GameCard cartridges also mean the memory on the device can all be used for creating the best gaming experience, rather than for storage.
All that also means costs can be kept low for a more affordable console. Since the cartridges are solid state, they too can be produced affordably and are tough for use by anyone including children. Losing them, on the other hand, isn't something Nintendo can help with.
So what do you think? Will you buy a switch?
