TOP 5 PHONES WITH THE BEST BATTERY

The last thing you want is for your phone to run out of juice when you need it most.
Usually, a phone lasts a full work day with moderate use. But if you use it heavily, you'll need to recharge it more often. Batteries also lose steam over time, running down faster the longer you've owned the phone. The spectre of losing battery -- and therefore losing your communication hub -- is frightening and real. So here are the top 5 mobiles with the best batteries...
1 - Motorola Moto Z Play

As the cheapest, most "midrange" phone of Motorola's Moto Z series, we were stunned to see that the Moto Z Play not only had the longest battery life of the Z line, but of all the handsets we reviewed this year so far. Clocking in a whopping 23 hours and 3 minutes, this handset is worth getting for the battery life alone (aside from the fact that it also works with useful modular accessories). Its Z Force counterpart didn't do so shabbily either, with a time of 16 hours and 32 minutes of video playback.
2 - Samsung Galaxy S7 Active (and S7 Edge and S7)

We know we said this list includes six phones, but really it's nine. After the Moto Z Play, the next three longest test results come from the entire Galaxy S7 family. That includes the recent Galaxy S7 Active, the S7 Edge and the S7. In addition to being top-tier devices (with the Active being extra durable) they clocked in battery run times over 21, 19 and 16 hours, respectively.
3 - OnePlus 3

With an affordable price tag of $399 or £309 (approx. AU$590), the third flagship from OnePlus still offers high-end specs like a 16-megapixel camera, a Snapdragon 820 processor and a 5.5-inch display. Its battery also lasts an impressive 14 hours and 17 minutes, and with the company's trademarked Dash charging technology, the device charges super quickly.
 4 - HTC 10

While it doesn't quite match the Galaxy S7, the HTC 10 is the second best Android phone you can buy right now. It's got it all; a lovely metal design, great camera and an impressive audio set-up. That camera is a 12MP UltraPixel sensor that takes great low-light shots and around the front there's the world's first OIS enabled selfie camera.
Under the hood there's a Snapdragon 820 CPU and 4GB RAM, which is plenty of power, and 32GB internal storage that can be expanded via Micro SD. HTC has stripped a lot of bloatware out of its Sense UI that sits under Android 6.0.1.

BoomSound makes its return, but the iconic front-firing speakers have been ditched. It still sounds great though, with 24-bit Hi-Res audio upscaling.

 5 - Google Pixel XL

It's taken the search engine giant long enough, but Google has finally launched a phone. And it's damn good. The Pixel XL is an iPhone baiting flagship that ticks all the major boxes, but you'll have to pay.
The most surprising feature here is the excellent camera, which matches the Galaxy S7 and iPhone 7. It's a 12-megapixel sensor, though lacking OIS, that captures stunning snaps in any light. 4K video looks great too, as do selfies.
It's fast too, thanks to a mixture of the speedy Snapdragon 821 CPU, 4GB RAM and software built by Google. Android has never looked better and the clever AI Assistant is already better than Siri. A 3,450 mAh battery lasts the day, while charging is snappy.
It's not perfect though; there's no water-resistant body and no SD card expansion. It's also a tad boring to look at, and hardly durable. Still, it's one of the best Android experiences around.
